What are you proposing to do?

To allow a lease for more than 3 years be granted to the proposed tenant for the Whitby Maritime Training Hub. And give the delegated decision-making powers to the Corporate Director of Environment in consultation with the Corporate Director of Resource for all future decisions.

Why are you proposing this? What are the desired outcomes?

To allow the proposed tenant to enter into the agreement to lease for the Maritime Training Hub which. The outcome of this, is once the facility is open it will have a tenant ready to enter the building.

 

By allowing delegated decision powers to be given to the Corporate Director of Environment in consultation with Coporate Director of Resource which will allow business to continue as usual and will ensure all future tenants have a mor streamlined process.

 

Does the proposal involve a significant commitment or removal of resources? Please give details.

The proposal will see £10,000,000 invested into Whitby to build the Maritime Training Hub.
